Annette Nijs is an economist, seasoned in supervisory, non-executive and advisory boards across family businesses, business schools and non-profit organisations. Her work and life have taken her from the Netherlands, Germany, the US and UK to Syria, Oman, Myanmar and China, shaping a deep respect for cultural diversity and a strong belief that the world is big enough for all of us. She formerly served as Dutch Minister for Education, Culture and Science, Member of Parliament, led a Europe China Institute at Nyenrode Business University and the global initiative at CEIBS, currently ranked the #2 business school according to the Financial Times. She spent over a decade at Shell.
