Brief info
Jan Waltmans was born in 1963. He studied law at Tilburg University and subsequently worked as a diplomat in eight countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
He served three years as ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Lebanon. There he became a friend of the LMTA and active hiker. Currently he is board member of the Stichting the Lebanon Mountain Trail Foundation, helping to promote Lebanon as a hiking and tourist destination, and building financial sustainability for the Lebanon Mountain Trail.
Jan is currently guest lecturer specialized in international relations and devotes his free time to sports, travelling, friends and relatives.
