On August 3, 2026, representatives from the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT) Association and the newly formed LMT Foundation held a productive meeting with His Excellency Frank Mollen, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Lebanon.
During the visit, LMT Association President Richard Bteich and Board Member Lisa Salem, joined by LMT Foundation Treasurer Dany Njeim and Secretary Alfred Farwagi, outlined the organization’s ongoing efforts to protect and promote Lebanon’s natural heritage.

Foundation Launch: The delegation officially introduced the newly registered LMT Foundation (Stichting), highlighting this new structural framework designed to support the trail’s long-term sustainability and strengthen international partnerships.
